Portrait of a music therapist

Colombian musician of great talent with an artistic and altruistic spirit, an example of perseverance, a mixture of concern and patience, is one of those people struggling with desire to achieve what they propose.

You’ve chosen a discipline that combines his two greatest strengths, formal knowledge of music along with the virtuoso performance of various instruments and their noble service nature, showing a genuine inclination to help people who have great physical, emotional, mental , social and cognitive skills.

The artist

Musician of the Conservatory of Tolima (Ibague, Colombia) South America from 1973 to 1984.

Under the direction of European masters, American and Latinos, thus enriching their baggage instrumentalist, composer and arranger.

He joined the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Colombia in 1985 as a violinist and then as a student of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Colombia.

Since 1980 he began his work as a teacher in the city of Ibague and also in the composition, serving as director of choirs, instrumental groups and tunas.

In Bogotá returns to teaching in schools as: Champagnat, Rosario, San Jose, the oldest of the Andes, the Ciedi, collage Forest University, among others.

Also at the foundation Inpahu University, Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, University Forest in the Faculty of Arts and the San Buenaventura University in Sound Engineering.

He has practiced his profession in a parallel fashion which gives it a touch of originality to his musical projects involving both in pedagogy and in the creation of children’s music and in leading groups of teenagers working from classic to folk and popular enriching itself the composition and creativity.
